Biomechanically, structurally and functionally meticulously tailored polycaprolactone/silk fibroin scaffold for meniscus regeneration
On February 19, 2020, professor Yingfang Ao and Xiaoqing Hu from Peking University Third Hospital co-authored with professor Haifeng Chen from Department of Biomedical Engineering of Peking University published a paper titled Biomechanically, structurally and functionally meticulously tailored polycaprolactone/silk fibroin scaffold for meniscus regeneration on Theranostics.
The ELISA kit (IL1, SEA071Rb;TNFa, SEA133Rb) of Cloud-Clone brand was chosed to determine the concentation of IL1 and TNFa in this article, we are so proud for supporting the reaserchers.
In this study, researchers developed a 3D printing-based biomimetic and composite tissue-engineered meniscus scaffold consisting of polycaprolactone (PCL)/silk fibroin (SF) with extraordinary biomechanical properties and biocompatibility. We hypothesized that the meticulously tailored composite scaffold could enhance meniscus regeneration and cartilage protection.
