- Prototype SpeciesHuman
- SourceBacterial infections result in maxillary sinusitis
- Model Animal StrainsBig ears white rabbit, healthy, male and female, weight 1.5-2.5kg
- Modeling GroupingRandomly divided into six group: Control group, Model group, Positive drug group and Test drug group.
- Modeling Period4-6 weeks
- Modeling Method2.5-3.5 kg New Zealand rabbits,According to the dose of 5 ml/kg body weight by intraperitoneal injection with urethane anesthesia, after anesthesia of rabbit supine position on the operating table. Open near the midline of about 1 cm lengthwise maxillary sinus anterior wall skin, subcutaneous and periosteum, separation from maxillary sinus wall crack before the former wall openings with hole chisel pliers to expand. Take in the maxillary sinus discharge bacteria culture. Close the sinus, suture of the skin. Will be made of streptococcus pneumoniae and staphylococcus aureus with pure cultures into a firing unit (3 xl0 E8 CFU/ml) concentrations. The next day after the operation with a syringe 1 ml of the bacteria solution the bone window into the maxillary sinus cavity. In surgery, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 weeks, in accordance with the above method before opening the maxillary sinus wall again, remove the maxillary sinus cavity after discharge quickly for bacterial culture, to ensure that the model can successfully copy.
